The park offers an escape from the daily busy work schedules to the people coming here from the busy areas. It is a very nice recreational area to go with your family and friends and is centrally located for tourists or the residents of the area who want to explore the Oregon coast from Reedsport to the Coos Bay.

The park offers camping all year round and has a total of 94 campsites for people visiting with RVs along with 16 yurts for bikers and people visiting for hiking purposes.
